Lectures

Lectures

Magnusson’s work experience at the Eames Office spurred him to create “image lectures”.

Deeply engaged research into the subjects of the lectures allows him to present with the confidence to inspire his audience and, in turn, impart knowledge and impact the environment in a most beneficial way. From Hong Kong to Belgrade, from Apple’s Cupertino headquarters to high schools in Switzerland, the research and resulting presentations continue to consistently inform Magnusson’s design practice.

“3500 years in 2000 seconds flat” is a fast paced history of design from the perspective of what and how technical and cultural developments impacted design over the centuries. Much more than a sequence of designed objects it endeavors to connect the confluence of historical events that shape our evolving  perception of design and its influence on society. The concluding mantra is “Design is function with cultural content” 225 images in 33 minutes
